The Wat Nong Sikhounmuang, usually referred to as Wat Nong, is one of the bigger temples in Luang Prabang. It was built in 1729 during the reign of King Inta Som, but in 1774 is was destroyed in a fire. The only thing that was rescued from the fire, was a bronze Buddha. This status, called the Pra Chao Ong Saensaksid, can be seen in the current temple, that was rebuilt in 1804.
You can find Wat Nong on the Interactive map of Luang Prabang.
