Muang Sing is a village in Luang Namtha, north east of Luang Namtha city, at about two hours driving. The last couple of years, it has become very popular with travellers. Surely this is because of its beautiful landscapes and the very relaxed atmosphere. But it is also because so many ethnic groups are living here. In the streets of Muang Sing you can see members of Hmong, Akha, Tai Dam, Tai Lue and Yao tribes, walking around in their traditional dress. Muang Sing and its direct surroundings are quite flat, making it ideal for a bicylce trip. You could even join in on an organised bicycle tour. In Muang Sing there is a big market, that lasts all day. Many people from the surrounding villages visit this market.
