Muang Long is a small town in Hua Phan province, situated on the banks of the Nam Long and the Nam Ma rivers. The inhabitants are mainly Akha. The market of Muang Long is visited by traditionally dressed people from surrounding villages. More interesting is the area around Muang Long, with its limestone cliffs, jungle and traditional villages. Muang Long is a good starting point for treks.
