The Buddha park (Xiang Khouan) is located about 30 kilometres outside the city of Vientiane. Here you can find a weird collection of Buddha statues, in all sizes and sometimes of bizarre design. The appear to be very old, but actually they are not. They were made in 1958 by a monk called Luang Pa Bunleua Sulilat, and they are made of cement. The park opens daily from 8:00 tot 16:30 and there is an entrance fee of 5.000 Kip.
